why people are using gasoline today instead of cars that runs on water?

this seems very bad for gas because the exhaust expels out bad smoke like Buses, Dump Trucks.but i heard from the television that they are some cars that runs on water but its very expensive…like a million bucks. waters on cars are better to save the whole atmosphere. but people are not kinda comfort of automobiles that runs on gas because those cars have a bad smoke…mostly people cough a lot like in Cebu, Philippines, i was heading to SM Cebu. i ride a big jeepney a big dump truck passed us because the truck was going north and we are going south…and all the people coughed a lot but in the furture will there be cars that runs on water….? ^_^

B/c people are still not sure about those water cars. It is very new and we dont know a lot about them. they are also VERY expensive. I’m sure when they perfect the water car then they will sell more and then the price will become more affordable.

not water hydrogen made from water. It’s all about money. It’s just to expensive.

I researched about this because I thought it seemed like a good idea, but I read from a few sites that it’s a scam and that it’s not possible.

I asked myself the exact question.

If something like that does come out though, I would definatley go for it.

When my car gets too old I’m planning on buying a hybrid.

Cars that run on alternative fuels are very expensive and not yet available to the general public. Also the thought of eliminating gasoline cars would devastate the economy therefore the transition to alternative fuels must be a slow gradual process

There is no such thing as a car that runs on water. There are a few cars that run on Hydrogen – which is produced from water (water being H20 – two hydrogen, one oxygen), To seperate the hydrogen out from the water is very energy intensive (meaning you need another energy source to do it – nuclear power, oil power plant – most power plants are oil). Hydrogen in the combustion engine would not emite any form of carbon emission, b/c there is no carbon in the tank (carbon dioxide or the posinous, less formed carbon monoxide).
I don’t think hydrogen cars cost 1 million, but there are very few stations to fill up, and there are less miles per tank (less energy put out in hydrogen combustion than gas combustion)

The ideal is solar power to create hydrogen (stored saftely so no hindenburg redux) – but both technologies have to make more significant strides.

Because the oil companies won’t let us have cars that don’t run on oil.

Until you can tell how just how only water will burn in a motor then I will switch over “just water only”.

Cars that run on water instead of gasoline is a new concept and the technology has not been proved effective.

There are many questions that still need to be answered before people will run out and buy these care.

1. Who can make these cars?
2. How affordable are they?
3. What if the car needs maintenance, who is certified for repairs?
4. Can people get long term usage out of these cars?

I think if these issues as resolved then more people would think of buying. It is a similar issues with hybrid cars, great concept however the price tag is a bit to high for most people. If the price came down, more people would be inclined to purchase.

Cause there are not a lot of h20 stations out there/

to run a car on water, the water needs to be converted to hydrogen and oxygen. this takes massive amounts of energy and we haven’t developed a cost effective way to do this on any kind of large scale.

mazda is testing a production version of its rotary powered rx-8 in norway-they bought 30 of them–theyre duel fuel also, flip a switch to change from gas or hydrogen, and hydrogen can be produced very cheaply from nuclear power plants. also the reason people were coughing was it was a diesel powered vehicle and they can be dirty motors

Because ther still doing testing on the water fuel based cars.Until its good to go they will start to sell.
