Why is oil being used freely when we have a limited source?
We have options……..we can use other fuels that don’t destroy the
planet we live on. Hydrogen can greatly increase gas mileage and other can have the same effect too.

Oil is the fuel of the world’s economy. It is cheap, and until recently, plentiful.
Options are present, but still more expensive and of limited access. Once oil hits $100/barrel, and gas breaks $10/gallon, then you’ll see options hitting the market. Until then, keep praying.
Well, we won’t run out of oil for about 250 years, so we don’t really have to worry about having any oil for ourselves. One thing is that I am a very educated scientist, and the story you heard about people cutting down rainforests was all myth… I really dont know why we don’t use renewable resources, my only answer would be we are cutting down on wastes, recycling, and reusing things. If you grow trees they will help cut down on pollution. I hoped this helped you.
If we burn anything it creates carbon dioxide, so it is not true that we can burn other fuels that don’t pollute.
Some fuels like natural gas produce less CO2, you burn it at your gas stove in your house every day.
Hydrogen is plentiful but because it such a simple atom it is easily attached to other atoms and the combination creates things like water or natural gas. Separating the hydrogen from natural gas, the most commonly used method of getting industrial hydrogen, leaves CO2. That is the green house gas we are trying to avoid ! ! !
If you have solar voltaic panels on your house and an electric car in your garage you are green and clean. You can commute or run errands without a worry.
