Why Does Hydrogen Gas Explode With Fire?
So i recently did an experiment with hydrogen gas and there was a small explosion when i put a flame near it. Can anyone help me why this happened? What cause it to react.

Hydrogen gas burns in oxygen forming water. When water is formed lots of energy is released all at once causing the pop you hear and the flash you see.

Because hydrogen gas is very reactive.
