Where is the best Gas Station to get gas for your car?

I have heard that some places use more water in their gas so your car eats it up faster, where can I get gas that will last longer but still be good for my car?

i would stay away from most small companys that have little advertisements and such but it all depends i prefer sunoco or 7 eleven and bp because they are major companys that all the big oil companys sell oil to cheaper because they know there will be a large profit so the oils cheaper the companys that make the gas will put less water. small companys pay more so they stretch their supply.

Water in the gas will stop a car from
running. It won’t make the car use gas
any faster.
Best place to shop for gas in today’s
market, is probably somewhere in
South America.
Some of those countries keep the gas
prices down, to keep the economy up.

A couple of things, first it depends on what part of the country you live in, fuels from west coast refineries are better than east coast (espeacially diesel). You want to avoid stations that are always cheaper than the rest, they purchase fuels from refineries that either recycle fuel i.e. fuel that was accidentally mixed, diesel with gas and so on, and then re-refined, that is why they are cheaper plus they buy what is for lack of a better term, bottom of the barrel gas, that is fuel with more contaminaints in it.
You don’t have to buy the most expensive gas, if you have an average vehicle (not high performance) maintain at least 87 octane. Branded fuels are always your best bet….and never never put fuel in at a station that is either getting a load of fuel or has just recieved a load. The dumping of the fuel causes the sediment in the underground tank to be stirred up…then your fuel filter gets to work overtime!

Make sure that the station has current weights and measures certifications clearly posted on the pump…you should be ok…good luck! Water in the fuel will not cause your car to use more fuel, water and fuel seperate and if you have a lot of water in your fuel, your car will cut out or miss. If a station adds water to their gas it is just to increase the volume of fuel you buy while they are actually not selling you fuel. This does not occur often….and you should know that vitrually all uderground fuel tanks contain some water due to condensation…as will occur in your cars fuel tank if you live in a cold climate. Keep your car well tuned up and maintained and that alone will increase your gas mileage..that includes proper air pressure in your cars tires. Hope this helps.
