I have a 4 stroke Kawasaki jet ski that’s a 2008. We put it on the lake yesterday And the day before for the first time in a year. The first day it worked perfect, the only thing was when you let off the gas after about 30 seconds the engine would shut itself off as if you had pressed the stop button. Now the next day we ran it to empty on gas and stopped at a marina to fill it up. I shut it off to fill it and then when I turned it back on and tried to push the start button the engjne would turn over but it wouldn’t start. We took it out of the water on the trailer and tried to start it and it fired right up. We drove it to another launch spot to give it some time to drain possibly and launched it where it was working perfect, minus the fact that as soon as you let off the gas the engine dies immediately. We thought maybe it was battery trouble but we had a brand new battery put in a week ago. Any thoughts???

NOW THAT THE WEATHER HAS CHANGED, MY CAR WILL RUN HOT NOW. WHEN I’M DRIVING OTHERS OFTEN SAY THEY SMELL GAS. THEN IF I DRIVING DISTANCE OF OVER 30 MILES, MY CAR WILL SHUT DOWN. FIRST IT WILL START WHEN I COME TO A STOP, AS I GIVE IT GAS, IT BARELY GOES ANYWHERE, THN IT JERKS UNTIL IT GOES A LITTLE DISTANCE, THN IT CUTS OFF. AT THAT POINT I WILL HEAR A SUCTION SOUND, AS IF LIQUIDS WHERE BEING OVERHEATED, UNDERNEATH MY CAR. SOMETIMES IT CONTINUES ON AND THN A COUPLE OF FT LATER…IT DOES THE SAME THING. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO 2 REPAIR SHOP FOR FIXING. ONE PLACE PUT MY CAR ON A MACHINE AND SAID IT WAS MY HORMONICAL BALANCE, IN WHICH HE FIXED…THE OTHER SAID IT WAS MY WATER BELT, IN WHICH HE FIXED. AND NOW AGAIN THAT IT’S WARMER WEATHER, MY CAR DOES IT AGAIN. IN THE WINTER TIME, I HAVE NO PROBLEM, BUT JUST AS SOON AS THE WARMER WEATHER COMES, IT SEEMS LIKE IT’S OVERHEATING TOO FAST. WHICH IS CAUSING MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON NOW. IM A FEMALE AND I REALLY DON’T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. TRUSTING THESE MECHANICS GETS ME NOWHERE. I NEED HELP. VEHICLE INFORMATION: 94 BUICK LESABRE THANKS!

I am using the GEK gasifier from gekgasifier.com. For those of you that don’t know, woodgas is a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, among other gases. I am going to be adapting the throttle body to accept a hose from my gasifier (the line from the gasifier will have an inline ball valve to mix fresh oxygen in, acting as the carb.)
What are the absolutely necessary components to hook up for the engine to run smoothly OUTside of a vechicle. I ask this because these ford inlines began very simple, but many vacuum lines and things like egr valves, etc were introduced in this 1982 model.

Ok, I have a 1998 Buick Regal GS with a V6 Supercharged 3.8 Engine. My car wouldn’t start for some time now. It needed a crank sensor, now it’s running. But before I fixed that, the last time I drove it I put oil in my car and at first I thought I overfilled it since it was a tiny bit over the full mark. Anyways, I decided to clean my engine with a water hose, and after I did that like 20 minutes later after my car running it started to stall out on me. Well I did get it running again, but I smell gas on the oil dipstick when I checked it again. The fluid on the stick is the color of oil though, there’s no milky, water or bubbles on the stick. The injectors look a little bad to me though, since around them there’s a fluid that seems to be leaking but i’m not for sure. What do you think the problem can be because I’m smelling gas on the dipstick ?

my car stalls when i hit the gas pedal.it also overheats when it runs and when it’s running it runs rough.my car kept overheating and has been sitting for 3 months i replaced the thermostat and it still voerheats on top of stalling when i hit the gas.someone told me it might be the head gasket but my oil isnt milky and the water is clean.it also seems to have a white smoke coming out my exhaust,as long as i dont hit the gas it stays running until it overheats and after it’s been running for around 20 minutes i can hit the gas and it doesnt stall out but runs real rough.i also checked the radiator no leaks and no oil leaks on the engine.anyone know?
the car is a 1994 dodge spirit 3.0 v6
the water level doesnt go down,i started my car at night and didnt see no sparks coming from the spark plugs.im not sure if i have a faulty water pump or heater c ore either.also when i turn the key i hear the fuel pump turn on.maybe since it’s been siting for 3 months maybe i just need to get a fuel cleaner?

I have a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am (6 cylinder 3.1 liter engine). I know that the owner’s manual says that the tank holds 15.2 gallons, but this isn’t really what I’m asking. I understand that the tank is supposed to be full when the pump automatically shuts off when you’re refilling the tank, but from what I’ve read, the shutoff point can vary between gas stations, and even between different pumps in the same station.

The truck just broke down in the middle of the street so am racing around the clock to fix it. It does have 2 tanks on it. The rear fuel pump just went out and the front tank is full of old gas. Last time I tried to run the front tank it sucked alot of water and took forever to flush the line out so I know for a fact its full of crud, hasn’t been used in over 10 years! I am for sure the pump up front works so have decided to drain this out and see if I can get it to run on the front tank, what is the easiest way to drain the tank on these trucks? siphon gas out? drop the tank? is there a drain plug? any help would be appreciated.

My dodge was taken for an oil change and to have the codes read. The guy said it was simply “running lean”. The truck kinda sputters but if you give it gas, it will go. I started hearing like what sounds like water running yesterday and drove it this morning but now when I go to start it, it won’t stay running. It’s super high in miles and hasn’t had a tune up in a while. Someone mentioned O2 sensor (aren’t there more than 1?) or a vaccum something or other. HELP!
In response, the check engine light was on that’s why we had the “codes” read. All the guy told my husband was that it was “running lean”. I guess I’ll have to just wait and see what the mechanic says. I’m just not good with vehicles to try and do any repairs myself. I just don’t want to get taken by some guy trying to make a buck….
