Ford ranger wont starts?

My ranger keeps trying to spin over but wont start i might have water in oil and gas. I added a can of seafoam. I was able to get started for 20 seconds then it died. I’m getting a spark its a 2.5 sohc automatic

when my car idles under 1000 rams per minutes it cuts off, why? now water comes out of my exhaust?

My engine over heated and after i put water into the radiator i tried to crank my car well when i did i had to pump the gas peddle for it to crank all the way and then had to keep it at about 1500 rpms the whole time i would drive or sit at a light so i had to put my car into neutral and rev the engine while stopped or my car would cut off under 1000 rpms. What could be wrong I am a single mom and this is my only mode of transportation!

what is the main cause for a small block chevy v8 to use more gas?

i have put a new cam , lifters, push rods oil rings, new distribitor cap,rotary button , plug wires, and plugs .
along with new head gaskets ,oil pan gaskets,timing chain cover gaskets,valve cover gaskets,intake manifold gaskets water pump gaskets…….
trying to figure out why my small block chevy 267 v8 115 hp using alot of gas put a forth tank in and run it maby 1 mile down to road to see how it run , and it been runing in drive way off and on while working on it and it back on e now from friday to sunday most it been run any ideas on what to check for ? and i dont think i have a fuel leak…..
distribitor is hei timing is set at 6 degrees before top dead center on timing had it around 8 but whe back it down. and the 267 was only made for a few years think between 79 through 82 i think…

2004 Alero running rough, not sure if there is moisture in gas tank?

I have a 2004 Olds Alero (89,000 miles), and I drove to work this morning with no problems, except I was a bit low on gas. At 6:15 this evening I went to start up my car and it was reluctant to turn over, but did in less than a minute.

The car was shaking and idling very rough, and it’s a bit loud. No backfire, but its kind of got a putt-putt quality to the rough idling. I put in a container of Heet, the more intense one, and filled the tank. I drove the car home, for about 25 minutes, and the ride improved, but it’s still got the symptoms to a lesser degree.

My Car overheats even after a water pump replacement?

I drive a 97 Nissan Skyline. A few days ago, my car was very close to overheating. I drove it to the nearest gas station the next day and filled the radiator with a whole bottle of antifreeze. On my way to work, which is only a few miles down the road, the temp gage was back in the red zone. I noticed antifreeze leaking from underneath the car. I looked at it and the fluid was coming from the underneath side of my water pump. I took it in and had it replaced. I just got the car back today. I drove it from work to home (4miles) and i parked it for 8 hrs. Then i went to pick up a few friends and drove it around for about 20minutes and the temp gage is in the red again. I got it home and opened the hood. The upper radiator hose looked like it was falling off. i tightened the clamp, but it doesn’t stay on very well, even though it is tight. i am wondering if that could be the only cause for this to be happening. There is plenty of antifreeze left in the car.
okay, i was just checking it out. i have plenty of antifreeze in the overfill tank, but when i had the car on, with the radiator cap off, i didn’t see any fluid going through. does that mean there isn’t any antifreeze in the radiator at all?

My car seems to not diesel or run-on when i use premium gas, why?

Im filling up with 93 instead of 87, and though i sometimes hear/feel a little bit of a “shudder,” its not full-on dieseling or “running on” lik when i had 87 in it. Now, if i drive it all day and shut it off and it does that on 93 ill know im wrong.. btu so far, it hasnt. And its a marked difference, the engine ran for 2 seconds once after i turned it off on 87.

Ive been doing a LTO of Decarboning altely, and am really wanting to Seafoam it and replace that old, brittle brake Booster hose.

Where do I pour the gas to fill the float bowl in a 2 barrel carb? Pics inside, speak your thoughts!?

As you can see by the pic below, the fuel enters by the far right where the fuel pump directs the fuel to the carb. I think you know what I’m talking about. Just looking at getting this car running getting back to normal (cam, crank, fuel lines, water flow, oil flow etc…). So I’m just putting this car together to get it back and running and then break it in for about 500 miles and then start adding better performance to this. Anyway, I read that you should fill the float bowls with new fresh gas to ensure an easy start when everything first putting it back together. Got this thing cleaned on the inside and now, just looking where to put the gas to get it in the float bowls. Don’t really know much about carbs yet so please let me know. My car has suddenly started getting bad gas mileage, what could be wrong?

Over the years, the various vehicles I’ve had, a drop in gas mileage has been the first indicator of a bigger problem. My first car went from 25 mpg to 8 mpg, when I noticed I had a leak in the gas line. my next car would routinely drop from about 20 city/25 hwy to about 15 for either when it needed the timing belt, or spark plug replaced. So I began taking my car to my mechanic friend any time I noticed a drop in my gas mileage. He has since moved, and I don’t trust regular mechanics (got charged $300 to replace a water pump and timing belt; they replaced it with junkyard parts, skipped town by the time I found out); plus I’m broke.

1989 Ford Taurus Poor Gas Mileage?

I have a 1989 Ford Taurus with the 3.0L Vulcan V6 and the AXOD Auto transmission. I have 98’200 miles on my car. For quite a while I have been getting terrible gas mileage. I usually get around 12-14 mpg in the city. Now, my car runs in tip top shape. It has been very well maintained by my parents for the past 20 years of their ownership and I have kept it very well maintained for the past 3 years.

Jetski stalls when I first give it gas…what might this be?

I’m considering buying my friends jet ski. I’ve taken it out a few times and it seems to run very well. The only exception is when you first put it in the water. The oil light blinks a few times…and you can’t give it really any gas without it stalling. You ride it around a few minutes then you can open it up and go just fine. There is oil in the ski…so that’s not it.

Once out on the lake…if you stop for a swim or whatnot and start it back up it usually takes 2 or 3 turns to get going again.
