Using water as fuel for cars?

Has anyone heard of this conversion you can do where you use water in your gas tank and get like 40% better gas mileage?
I saw it on “www.runyourcarwithwater.com”.

Has anyone tried this or know anyone who has tried it?
Please don’t EVER reference wikipedia again in your life. What a waste of space that half-assed unregulated website that is.

For the guy whos friend’s engine smoked and cracked, did he do this exact conversion, and was he a trained mechanic an actually do it right? I am not talking about just putting water in the tank.

As for the compressed air thing, I just don’t ever see that working for mainstream automobiles. Cars will cost like 6 times more, and when they have a problem the whole system with have to be overhauled.

I have heard that scientists can now burn water, or maybe it was salt water. but what i think is cooler, is that a french company, i think MDI, has made a car engine that runs off of regular compressed air. So if they could design some contraption that is constantly sucking in air and compressing it, you have an endless supply of air-fuel. The compressed air gets the same kind of reaction in the engine as gasoline does. so gas (or air) would become free and you would no longer have to worry about spending money on gas. is that not cool or what?

One of my friends tried it on his dodge i think it was, he put water in it…..as soon as he started the engine the whole engine block smoked and cracked and he had to get a new car. I don’t recommend doin that haha

This was done in 1938 by a Texan.
There is also a man that converted a Diesel Motor to Hydro Carbon .
