when my car idles under 1000 rams per minutes it cuts off, why? now water comes out of my exhaust?

My engine over heated and after i put water into the radiator i tried to crank my car well when i did i had to pump the gas peddle for it to crank all the way and then had to keep it at about 1500 rpms the whole time i would drive or sit at a light so i had to put my car into neutral and rev the engine while stopped or my car would cut off under 1000 rpms. What could be wrong I am a single mom and this is my only mode of transportation!

My 97″ Caddy Northstar smelll of gas under the hood when driving. Where can I look to start diagnosing?

The Cadillac sat for a week in very cold weather. Started it up heard a pop under the hood and check engine light came on. After driving a couple of days the light went off. Runs fine but with the slight smell of gas when running. I believe from pass experience there may have been some water in the gas line and froze. I put some gas line dryer the tank. How do I go about diagnosing where this leak is located? Or where is the leak. I must mention the starter was removed a couple of times in the last 1/2 year.

97 chevy malibu, gas Gage went under the needle it rest on and clunking noise on front drivers side?

ok so the other day my uncle changed the hose that’s connected to the engine that sends the water to cool it off, after he was done the cars gas gage needle went under E were the pin it sits on its under both, i tried the wire and paper clip to push it up but its harder than it looks i cant push it up, what if i turn it counter clockwise with the paper clip? could that work or would it hit the temp gage and screw more things up? i dont have money to pay for professional work right now so any good tips or anything would help and also for awhile now my car makes this clunking noise on the front drivers side mostly when im at a stop light and i have no clue what it is we thought it had something to do with it over heating that’s why we changed the hose(i was putting water in everyday) and it didn’t solve that it bothers me i dont want my car breaking down but i have to drive it to work..so does anyone have any ideas or websites or anything that can help me? thanks in advance!

While changing the oil I found a white milky substance under the oil cap. Condensation or is it worse?

This was about two weeks go. I cleaned it off. This morning while filling up my gas tank, I checked under the oil cap and found about 5 drops of water.

This is my wife’s car and the weather has been both cold and humid and she only drives her car for about 10 minutes twice a day.

I have not checked the pcv valve.

would a jet work under water?

I am 15 and have wanted to be an aerospace engineer since I was 10. Over the years I have come up with lots of ideas for new aircrafts, the first one I came up with was a plane I called the sea snake. It would start under water like a sub then using jet boosters under the wings it would shoot out the water.

It would use large hydrogine fuel cell, or some other way of seperating the H2O, for under water (it would use the hydrogine for fuel and send the oxygin to the pilot) it would use jets similer to the ones on jet skis but larger.

Sometimes, my car just dies under acceleration. Whats up?

Sometimes when I’m driving my car, it just dies when I accelerate, like from a stop at a light. Other times,it loses power and stutters and then picks back up. It rides fine on the highway though. The car was in tip top shape until a few weeks ago, when someone thought it would be funny to put a couple of gallons of water in my fuel tank. Of course when this happened, my car didn’t run. I opened up the fuel line at the filter and drained most of the tank. I know for a fact that a considerable amount of water has gone through the fuel system. I changed the filter, so I know that isn’t an issue. Is it possible though that the fuel pump or injectors were damaged? I’ve been running water remover in the fuel but not injector cleaner. Also, the car is a 95 Lincoln Mark VIII with a 32 DOHC V8 with 70K miles. I replaced the TPS, IAC, plugs and wires in the past year, so the car was in tip top shape. I always run 93 octane in it. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? The car is not safe.

Where is the best place to buy a car for under $300, I’ve been having alot of trouble doing this.?

I need a cheap car that runs, but is also under $300. I want to try and convert this car into a hydrogen/gas hybrid, but I don’t want to nulify my car’s warrenty.
