I am reading a book that has some… very weird sciences to it.
Some people are trying to survive in a post America world, and they need gas to get 200 miles to pick up supplies.
The guy said that in World War 2 people converted wood, coal, charcoal to gas.
it says he needs a hot-water tank for the conversion and that it would get them where they needed but only at about 30 mph.
So my question is, is this really possible.

ive been throwing this idea around in my mind for quite some time now just like many others have i assume about a water powered car. the only problem is i see the price of water rising from 80 some thing cents a gallon to the price of gas at around 4 dollars. and as humans obviously we need to drink water to survive. does any one else see this as a problem if a water powered car became a reality?

Anybody let a car sit for 6 months, then run it, how much water do you think got into the gas and how did it run? my car is running rough, putting out water (not coolant) from both pipes (it’s a true dual exhaust) even when hot. ’73 chevy 350.
SF bay area, it’s not that cold out here,, about 50 to 60 ish during the day, but it’s been sitting 6 mos, got a little white smoke from both pipes too, new HEI, plugs, wires, splitfires and holley carb. should be running better, lots of water in the exhaust, and some white smoke,,is it water?
Gas tank was near empty when I parked it.

I went to look at a boat today. I connected the fuel line to the outboard motor and squeezed the pump until it reached full pressure and there was (10 year old??) stale gasoline in the fuel line. I cranked the key and the engine turned over but didn’t start. Then I tried starter fluid.
The boat was sitting for years so I had to pull the battery out of my car to crank it over at all. It cranked over very easily. The engine is mechanically sound.

Well see my mom is in the hospital in Lexington, Ky, I live approx. 30 miles away, and they are from about 60 miles south of where I live. Today my family asked me to come up to take my brother back home to feed and water the dogs, since our aunt who has been doing this while my mom was in the hospital is also in the hospital. So I drove to Lexington 30 mile up there and then back home , 60 more miles, then back up to lexington 90 miles thats a total of 180 miles and when I get to the hospital and ask for help with the gas they give me $10.00, that was enough gas for almost 3 gallons of gas, my car gets about 20 miles to the gallon. I put $30.00 right after I picked up my brother because my tank was empty. Is it unreasonable for me to ask my family to help me out, since I have to do all the driving while she is in the hospital ( my brother cant drive). All of my family thinks this is WRONG of me, but my husband just lost his job, and I only work part time. Opinions please

Ever wonder why printers are so cheap?
So they have you hooked for the ink.
Someone calculated the cost of the ink at…………….
you won’t believe it……………….
but it is true…………………….
$5,200 a gal. (five thousand two hundred dollars)
So, the next time you’re at the pump,
be glad your car doesn’t run on water, scope, white out or printer ink.

I have a 1998 6-cylinder Chevy Blazer STI that most of the time runs just fine. But every once in awhile it has days where it doesn’t seem to want to hold water or coolant. I had my radiator cap replaced but a few people who have looked at it think it is either a cracked head or blown head gasket. It has been over-heating all day today and any water I put in the radiator has just leaked right out the bottom of the car somewhere. Also it is not using the water from the reservoir for some reason, and when idling if I gas it hard, water SPEWS out of something under the hood (upwards). Oil is dark and muddy looking and so isn’t the water in the reservoir AND radiator. I really need for this car to make it home tonight which is about 110 miles or 1 1/2 – 2 hrs away. Is there any quick fix out there, just so I can get the car home tonight??

I don’t think we got enough clout this time. Maybe we didn’t have enough time to plan it right. I say we do it again. Lets plan for June 5th, That will give everyone plenty of time to get the word out. That is a Tuesday, and I think most people could fill their tank before
the Boycott and hold out as long as possible. I reallize working people have to buy gas when they need it , but 1 tank lasts most people a week. I’m retired a tank lasts me a month. I do not plan on a vacation this year because of the price of gas. Not because I can’t aford it I just don’t want to give the oil companies my money. They make me sick. They invented cars that run on other things like corn, beans, water, even, but the oil companies bought up all the rights to them. The last I heard though some teenagers in high school designed a race car that goes really fast, and it runs on beans. So why do we have to pay $3.00 a gallon for gas. If they wanted to they could have these cars built and for sale in 1 year

who will develop safe car engines who run only on hydrogen
***hydrogen is around 5 times cheaper than gas and 8 times more powerfull**
and it does not do any pollution only emission is water (h2o)
