Has anyone here tried or know someone who put a water fuel hybrid system on their existing vehicle?

A lot has been written about smoke hoods and aviation safety recently, as the subject has been picked up by the mainstream press, but this issue has actually been around for many years. And it continues to be controversial for a number of reasons.

Has anyone used one of the kits or manuals to convert their car to a water/fuel vehicle?

I have visited many sites that claim a simple hydrogen conversion unit will give you 45% – 65% increase in fuel efficiency, but none appear to have any feedback from actual users. I’d like to hear from someone who has actually used this technology on a regular gas burning car and knows how easy or difficult the conversion was to install and if the gas savings are realistic.
As for the chemistry being all wrong, I think not. I’ve seen the newsreel footage of the Japanese car that runs completely on water alone, using a hydrogen conversion engine. I know the water-fueled engine works. I just want to know if my old car can take advantage of this technology or if I have to wait and buy a new car when the Japanese car goes into production.

Are their any inventors out there thinking up other ways to power a car ?

I read an article in a local paper about an inventor in Wi that is working on an electric vehicle powered by bumps in the road or suspension travel—I imagine it’s a system that uses the up and down motion of the shocks to energize a magnetic field and generate electricty to charge the batteries. Sounds simple and is simliar to regenerative braking in that the energy used to stop a car is put back in to moving the car. Article is here:

Why do Americans refuse to control their own destiny?

I can’t believe Americans continue to finance our own demise by making the Middle East our masters…all for OIL??? Every country in the world uses small vehicles due to their price per gallon. Gas prices will continue to go UP as long as we PAY for it. Demand auto makers make cars that run on water, or anything other than oil. We knew in the 70′s we needed to change our ways with respect to the consumption of gasoline and here we are 30 years later and nothing has changed…except the control the Middle East has over us!! Wake up America before our enemies BUY (with our $) and USE the “mushroom cloud” over us. Let them DRINK THEIR OIL!! Tell our auto manufacturers we want engines that get a MINIMUM of 50 mpg!!! Nobody addresses our oil problems at the root – our vehicles!! I guess Americans would rather drive their 10 mpg vehicles and GAMBLE that Iran’s fanatical regime is just “stating” they want us DEAD!!

I’ve seen these electrolysis devices for sale and I really don’t think they would work. Is anyone using one of these devices and how is it working?? I’ve got a friend who purchased one and is putting it on his truck…
FYI: I’m not thinking about running off 100% hydrogen, but the Brown’s Gas that is produced when water is electrolyzed
