Why do US major auto makers not implement hydrogen fuel cell cars across the country along with fuel stations?

Regular Americans cant afford Hydrogen fuel cell cars on their own and the only place that has it CA, they have every thing there. Well what about the rest of us. Regular Gas Mileage doesn’t do crap its still polluting the earth and killing off the best natural resource known to man EVER hydrogen would solve so much pollution problems. Hydrogen has been proven save, yes it will cost billions of dollars but even in this so called recession the huge companies have billions if not trillions stocked away i mean really how many numbers do they need in their bank statements to feel like “rel men” WTF im happy with 20 bucks and something to eat. It is the only way its going to happen is if the govt and major car makers put up hydrogen fuel stations and sell them nation wide and hopefully world wide. Imagine the billions of metric tons of CO2 per year no longer in our air, the world is at an all time low of O2 content ever in recorded history. Just something to think about, and if any automakers happen to read this just imagine how insanely rich you would be if you are the first company to go nation wide with this hydrogen plan. Sounds like a winner to me :)

Gas stations provide “air and water”. What is the water for?

Fuel, coolant, antifreeze, oil, and washer fluid. Those are the only things I can think of that go in a car so where does the water go? Thanks.

What company(ies) will be able to retrofit gas stations to serve alternative energies?

I have a feeling that as alternative energy becomes a bigger deal, existing gasoline stations will be retrofitted with solar panels, capacitor and battery banks, natural gas tanks, and hydrogen fuels. This is a much more efficient alternative to building brand new fueling stations. What companies are prepared to do the retrofitting?
Well, what I foresee in the immediate future is a lot of competing technologies in the alternative sector. This can already be seen with California giving grants to Pearson Fuels to create E85 stations, India giving contracts for Hythane fueling stations, etc. I would also say that installing solar panels at actual fueling stations will likely occur to some extent, because it will be more profitable to produce the electricity privately (rather than purchase it).

Does anyone know of a law that makes air and water at gas stations, free to all customers?

As I put .75 cents into the air/water machine at the gas station for air to my tires, a stranger waiting said it was free. That all I had to do was ask the gas station cashier to turn on the compressor. He claims a law was passed a few years ago that makes this possible. That the ability to charge .75 cents is available for after hours service or machines that still stand since installed before the law was passed. Is this law real? Is it a national law or a state law? I live in California.

Is It Against The Law For Gas Stations To Water Down Or Contaminate Their Gasoline? ?

Ive put gasoline in my motorcycle from this particular gas station and now it wont run. This is the second time this has happened and its only when I get gas from this one gas station. I was suspecting that they were diluting their gasoline and wanted to know if there were any legal aspects that would be helpful to me.

Do gas stations, like Sheetz, put water in their gasoline?

Obviously, these places always seem to have the cheapest gas and I’ve heard rumors they these companies place water in their gas so that they can sell it for less.

If this is true, will this affect my car?
