so it was probably close to a whole tank of gas that was bad. any who.. it caused my cat converter to fail needing to be replaced. done that and added a new muffler while i was under her. she ran fine then just stalled. also while it was still running i noticed that the RPM meter stopped working and dropped off to 0 RPM then shortly after she did her stall thing. and she wont start for nothing. so i wait and tried this morning and she started up just fine sounds great everything sounds just fine with her but then the RPM drops down to zero again then she stalls. oh n by the way i syphoned all the bad gas out, also purged the line back to the intake. i havent changed out the fuel filter, but ive checked more than once to make sure she isnt plugged and she pumps hard. seems to me its probably a sensor of sum sort but not sure exactly on that kinda thing. i kinda think the throttle position sensor in the dist. but im not sure if thats where i would be loosing my RPMs from or if thats even possible? also i cant seem to find anything that even kinda looks like an oxygen sensor any where on the exhaust manf. cause i figure thats pretty fould up. ive also taken all the spark plugs out and cleaned them properly,.they had a dry black dust. pretty bad but the plugs are still new from 9months ago.with the wires, cap and rotor. also new timing chain at 112,000miles.new water pump and flushed cooling system. she has 120,000 miles on it now shes driven like a top since before this damn gas. and also after i changed the exhaustas she ran for almost 15mins before the stall and she ran with plenty of go. hope that was not to long wanted to add as much info as i could muster up to help you help me. thank you in advance.

CCan I sue a gas station for mixing their gas with water and causing my car over 1800 in repairs? I had to take my car in this morning because it kept stalling and shaking. They told me the gasoline was mixed with water and damaged my car.

We got bad gas from a gas station a week ago. Made my car completely stop running. They repair shop drained it and it was about 90% water, and the rest was dirty gas mixed with dirt. Then they actually dropped the gas tank, cleaned it, changed my filters, and said that technically cause we drove and kept trying to crank the car with this gas, that it could cause other problems down the road.
We were towed by a family member (no receipt), and then we had to borrow another family members car for a week. (not a rental car place, so no receipt).

We filled up our car at the gas station and drove the car across the street. After that the car would not start. We took it to the shop and they say that there was water in the lines probably due to their fuel tanks not being sealed correctly and the snow may have melted into it. We were told that we could go after the fuel station for the repairs but we did not get a recipt. Would the credit card statement be enough or are we just out of luck all together?
we tried HEET without any luck, that’s why it went into the shop

I bought a brand new 2009 Mazda 6 3 weeks ago, and this Saturday I went to a Shell gas station and filled it up almost completely with their premium “V-Power” gas. Not more than a mile down the road, I stopped at a McDonald’s and my car chugged and then stalled in the parking lot, and I couldn’t get it started again. It was towed to the local dealership, which was closed for the Easter weekend, and the service adviser found that there was water in the gas.

Yesterday I went to the gas station to filling gasoline to my bmw 328i 2007. After I left the gas station my engine died immediately. Today I took my BMW to the bmw dealership and discovered that the gas station gave me water rather than gasoline. I have all the evidence since I have the receipts and a bottle of water filled with all the water the dealership mechanics were taking out of the engine.
I’m planning to lawsuit the gas station since the warranty doesn’t pay for this kid of damages and I have to pay 2500 dollars to fix my car now. The good thing is that I only put 3.6 gallons of water.
Do you think this is going to affect my engine in the long run and if this happen to me yesterday morning, I wonder how many people got screw like this all day??

We had our John Deere Tractor serviced and was charged and told the reason it did not start was due to water in the Fuel line and the carburetor.
I bought the gas at the local station. It was put in a new can. We put this gas in our John Deere, push mower and blower as well as our new weed eater. Nothing started. Went to the owner told him and he said no way that water does not get into the gas. Ok!
So Got everything fixed only to buy more gas/ same station after all Owner says no way does this happen. and here we go again. Poured fresh gas in from same station. Service call Charged again for water in the gas. We keep our equipment in a dry carriage house. Gas buy as needed so what do we do?

I have heard that some places use more water in their gas so your car eats it up faster, where can I get gas that will last longer but still be good for my car?
