i put some gas manually in my 95 cavilier it cranked up and ran for like a minute and then shut off and i coul?

I cant get it to crank. The police came and towed it to because i abonded it I guess. I dont know it smelt like gas to me. If it had water or oil or something would that make it quit? I think my friend gave me some shitty gas,
Okay I had some gas but not much, so my friend brings me like 4 gallons of gas, I smell it, smells gasoline. I put the fuel in, it cranks up for a few seconds then stops and when i turn the key its not starting. Any better? I dont what the fuck is up with it, i was thinking air bubbles, wrong octane fuel? maybe it was a oil gas mix, but it smelt straight like gas or maybe some water got in it i dont know. The police towed it because it was on the side of the road, so all in all, I’m in a little bit of a fucked situation and I dont know what to do,

if some one designed a water powered car do you think the price of water would go up?

ive been throwing this idea around in my mind for quite some time now just like many others have i assume about a water powered car. the only problem is i see the price of water rising from 80 some thing cents a gallon to the price of gas at around 4 dollars. and as humans obviously we need to drink water to survive. does any one else see this as a problem if a water powered car became a reality?

I have some questions about Fire Safety?

1. Describe how specific gravity affects combustion and extinguishment?
2. Describe why water is a poor extinguishing agent for most flammable and combustible liquids?
3. How is the specific gravity of gasoline, motor oil, and kerosene in relationship to water?
4. Why will kerosene not burn easily when it’s at room temperature?
5. Why does an alcohol fire go out with water and the gasoline fire did not?
6. Why will gasoline burn easily when it is at room temperature?
7. Why did the flame extinguish when it contacted the paper clip?

Pressure head in metres of water – some disambiguation?

An underground gasoline tank is accidentally opened during raining causing the water to seep in and occupying the bottom part of the tank. So now the tank has two layers, bottom part is the water and top part is the gasoline. My question is to calculate the pressure head of the water in metres of water, why for h2 = (p2 – p0)/pg instead of h2 = (p2 – p1)/pg? If p0 is 0 due to free surface and p1 is the calculated absolute pressure for part 1 (between the gasoline and water).

My car needs some work. I’m driving the 2002 Pontiac Grand Pr ix. The motor is a 3800 Supercharged edition.

While driving the car will stop receiving fuel and not start back up for ten-fifteen minutes. I’ve replaced the ignition contol module and the 3 coil packs. The serviice engine light will only come on when its running like water is in the gas. I’ve been to autozone to diagnose the service engine light and he says its a fuel injector needing to be replaced. O.k . but aren’t there 5 more injectors? ” Y” so, why does the car continue to shut down? I dont want to waste alot of money. Anyone with suggstions please respond as definitive as u can with the information available . Battery is good, alternator is good, and if it was the fuel pump wouldnt that just go competeley out? This is been happening for close to 1 month and a half. Thank you in advance.

What are some Bad things that could happen if i put 3 Cans of SeaFoam in my gas tank every Fill-up?

And why?

Fuel Injected

.. it had Run ouut of Gas and had Bad Gas in it before that.. should i “Let it run for an Hour” to “Flush” and “Burn off” all the SeaFoam and B-12 ChemTool, then just refuel with Good gas, like BP?

Thanks!

152,000 Miles, sat for one year.. Sour Gas, new Fuel Pump and Filter, i have put in MANY Cleaners.. i also wonder if i should put in a Water Remover..

Thanks!

What can i do if some water might have gotten into my intake filter?

I drive a 06 Sentra SER. And i have a cold air intake. lately its been raining real hard for the past week. and i have still been forced to drive through it for about 5 days straight now. I haven’t ran through any big puddles at all (if any) yet.. But the freeways gets pretty hectic though….. I’m quite positive that i already took in some amount of water due to the rain, especially on the freeway. but the car still feels and runs fine.

If some water did get in….. Is there anything i can do to get it out? Like maybe FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER or something…….?

i have a 94 lincoln mark 8 that stall is some water?

for 3 days my car would not start…..i have gotten it started now but they are a knocking noise….i have put a new air filter on it and change the sparks plugs and put a gas treatment cause it had white smoke comming from the tail pipe……i need to know what i can do to stop the knockin noise……………….

Winter is upon some of us. Thus, which is it: can gas lines really freeze or not? I’ve heard both sides…

I want to know so that I’m not wasting my money on HEET. I’ve heard people say that gas’ freezing point is like negative 70 degrees Fahrenheit or something unbelievably low. I do use HEET during the summer when it rained all night or in the morning to since I knew water somehow got into the tank because of the way the engine would run until I drove for a few miles until it became normal again. This also happened when I would first start my truck up in the afternoon on really really humid days.

my jeep sat underwater for 12 hours, having electrical problems obviously. need some advice?

so i put the jeep underwater for 12 hours in an accident i had. i pulled it out. changed all oils twice and got all the water out of the intake and pistons and throttle body. when i hook up the battery the a/c is always on even if they key isn’t turned on. when i tried to turn it over it sounded very promising but i stopped before it started because i figured there was probably water in the gas keeping it from starting and didn’t want to do any damage. but when i turned the key off, the jeep was still trying to start so i disconnected the battery. i checked all of the fuses and they were all fine. could it be the computer is bad. or is it somehting else? i just want to at least get it running so i can sell it. what do you think i should do?
it was fresh water and i do intend on letting the buyer know what happened to the vehicle.
