Think you’ll be driving a gasoline powered car in 2016?

I believe gas cars will be relics in 10 years. I’m rooting for hydrogen, or as in “Back to the Future”, the Fusion powered car, but that’s way down the road, IMO.

What is the co2 and overall carbon output of a/ CNG/LNG powered IC/ CI engine verses gas…?

…or disel?
Currently if one desird they can go to most any honda dealer and purchase a deicated CNG Civic. But, this is still a foosil fuel? And contributes less, but similar to bezine based fuels? More of the crux of my question is; in the interim, before Electric and Hydrogen go mainstream, how much ‘footprint’ emmisions, are beeing transfered from the end user to the power plant?

electro and hydro powered cars.. does anyone else hate them?

ok well i think they are stupid.

electro powered cars batteries are made of a substance thats illegal to break down in Australia. they have to be shipped to India to be broken down by HAND which costs HEAPS for the shipping and heaps for a new one! it also doesnt help india with the whole ratiation thing as the batteries are toxic.
The battery also only works from speeds of 0 to 14 km and hour. STUPID since most roads are about 40-60 km an hour which after the car has reached these speeds, the petrol engine will kick back in making it pointless.

How about a hydrogen powered car?

Since apparently it requires terrorist acts to make a nuclear motor for a car, how about a hydrogen powered car? Where can I find plans online to make one of these for my own personal use? I hate gas prices and I want to avoid them if I can.
Yes, with my current solar panel/wing power system, it will cost me approximately $2.50 for the same energy of hydrogen. I have a system already set up to help with the electricity, but I’ll be buying electricity off the grid to help provide some, which is why it costs that much. If I could double my solar panel and wind mill power, I would be paying less than $0.30 for fuel’s equivalent in hydrogen.

Who thinks that the fuel companies will find a way to charge us for water in a water powered car?

Will gas powered cars become dust collecting fossils?

I love cars. I’m all for green/hydrogen/electric/alternative fuel cars, and know that they will eventually take over gas powered cars in the future. My question is this: what will happen to all the great gas powered cars? I’m talking about 350 Chevy’s, V8 bmw’s, 3.2 liter porches, rear wheel drive muscle. Stored in museums? Increase or decrease in value? Will we still be able to drive these beasts in 10 or 20 years? What are your thoughts?

If hydrogen powered automobiles became available this year, would you drive one?

As an alternate fuel source, hydrogen has great potential. It is present in unlimited quantities in our atmosphere, it burns clean and leaves only water as a result of combustion. One of the current deterents against hydrogen is that it takes a large volume of gas to power a vehicle for long distance trips. Hydrogen is not easily compressed so the volume of the fuel tank in your vehicle is prohibitive for a small to medium car.

how large is the hydrogen fuel tank on a car and what is the most fuel efficent gas powered car in the us/06?

and how long will that one tank last the driver

Water powered engines? How?

Im just looking for a little insight for a summer project i have planned. whether it be a small lawnmower style engine, (if possible, or i go get a junker with a decent engine. heres the kid i was looking at, http://water4gas.com/2books.htm?hop=love2008#info, but what my question is, this is a combination of gas and HHO gas so where does the HHO gas get hooked up to, the carb? also would it be easy to make the container for the electolisis? also how does the fuel efficient kick in, do you control the flow of the gas or will it just natuarlly use less gas since it has the HHO coming in as well? anyways just looking for some insight or ideas or if im just crazy here but i think itd be really cool if i good get something like that to work. thanks

hydrogen. water powered cars?

has anyone tried one of those water hydrogen. kits for ur car? something like this http://water4gas.com/2books.htm and what are ur opinions on this?
