Why must we use sodium hydroxide instead of sulfuric acid in making hydrogen gas?
When you make hydrogen gas commercially, you use a large steel vat as the mixing chamber. why must we use sodium hydroxide instead of sulfuric acid in this process?

I read the Pros and Cons and it seems like this is a far better alternative than E85. E85 is good for farmers but it has a lot of downsides including costing the same as normal gas to use. Or even hydrogen powered cars- this seems like another great idea
according to PickensPlan we have a large domestic supply- that would cost less than $2.00 per gallon
you could also fill up at your own house from your natural gas running to the house. companies could make special hoses with fittings that would be in your own garage.
water4gas and a few other websites claim they have found the answer on how to run a car with water by making your own small reactor that converts the water into brown gas does this really work without out any other fuel supplement? If it does is there enough energy coming out to run your car and produce enough electric to continue the conversion or is it all a myth?
well the water4gas is a water and gas hybrid but the hydrostar is a complete conversion from gas to only water and i did not know if any one might know the pros and cons of the difference of these 2 products.
