how much should it cost for fixing fuel pump, water pump, head gasket, timing belt and labor?

I had a mechanic look at my car after it died on me on the freeway. He brought a camera to look inside. He said it depends on the parts for my Ford Focus 2002. I know I can save money if I go to the junk yard and get the stuff myself from another car. How much would you charge?

Five dollars worth of water. Shouldn’t they pay for the new fuel pump, towing and labor?
