I have a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am (6 cylinder 3.1 liter engine). I know that the owner’s manual says that the tank holds 15.2 gallons, but this isn’t really what I’m asking. I understand that the tank is supposed to be full when the pump automatically shuts off when you’re refilling the tank, but from what I’ve read, the shutoff point can vary between gas stations, and even between different pumps in the same station.

If so, did it work out for you/them?

First thing I’d like to know if the warranty on them is standard 1 year limited. On most Wave runners?
Second is how long do they last without requiring repairs? When is the time for check up on the boat? Cost?
Price range on a jet ski? I’m seeing 7000-10,000 for a wave runner.
Any models you would say is better? Honda or Yamaha?
Are they salt water and fresh water? Or is it one or the other and not both?
Any features I should look for other then turbo? I’ve heard Turbo ones eat gas and require repairs.

Okay so last night it was like ten degrees outside and I tried to start my car and it just wouldn’t start at all. I figured it was just too cold.
Today, I tried to start it up and it started and then the battery light came on like it does if the car stalls out or something, and then turned off. I tried to do it about 2 or 3 more times and it just kept turning off.
I believe that the battery is fine because I can turn the car on, just not start the engine/keep it running.
My gas is really low, the gas light hadn’t turned on quite yet, but it is very low.
My step-father said there might possibly be water in the gas tank, and since it’s low that would cause this problem now?

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, up until this week it drove fine. Now it putts a little bit and shuts off with out a check engine light or anything. It only shuts off if Im driving slow or coming to a stop. But the thing is it does sometimes. I believe its one of the spark plugs that has backfired because the truck starts back up, but I am not sure. I had this problem about two months ago but come to find out I had water in my gas tank. I put gas treatment in to remove the water and that worked fine. I plan on getting a tune up this weekend but and plan on telling them to check into why it shuts off but not exactly sure what else they should check for if its not the spark plugs

I just read several testamonials on kits that convert your auto fuel from totally being water to both water and gas. Frankly, I find it hard to believe. They don”t tell you where to go to have such a thing installed. They seem to just want to sell these so called kits. Anyone have experiance with it.?

I bought a 96 Dodge Neon from somebody for dirt cheap knowing that it needed some work. I put a new fuel pump, fuel filter, starter, water pump, timing belt and thermostat on it already and it will run and drive for about 2 mile and then it will just shut off….wait for about 15 minutes and it will crank back up and you can drive it another 2 miles and so forth and so on….does anyone have any idea what could be causing it????

1987 F150 302 106000 miles. Truck did sit up for about 4-5 years without being started before I bought it. I have put 9000 miles on it since I’ve had it. I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel pump relay, plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor, ignition module, fuel lines, throttle body, air filter, fan, fan clutch, water pump, fuel pump relay, battery, solenoid, throttle position sensor, coolant sensor and it still had a problem. It would start immediately when I started it, but ran horrible, like the fuel was clogged or something and it had a bad hesitation. When it warmed up, however, it ran perfect. Like a brand new engine. Now if the truck was stopped and I went in to get something from a store, it wouldn’t start and I would have to wait until it cooled off again to start it, now it won’t even start at all. I tried to push start it several times, but it didn’t do any good. The best answer I had last time I asked this question was to check for spark. I have spark and the truck won’t start when i spray starting fluid in the manifold. I’m ready to shoot this thing.

1. I built a Hydrogen thingy using 2 plastic rulers wrapped with 2 strands of .062″ stainless steel safety wire with the positive wire going to the top of one coil and the negative wire going to the bottom coil. I submerged this coil into a water/baking soda solution. I slowly add less than about half a teaspoon to the solution until I draw about 20 amps. I have it wired to the cigarette lighter so it only has power when the truck is on. I used a water filter from home depot as a container for this and I ran a hose directly to my truck’s intake after the mass air flow sensor.

1991 Ltd. Edition 4.0L Auto, fuel injected, gasoline is new and fine, tried gas line antifreeze just in case there was some water, and when it was parked last time it was running perfectly.
Believe it or not, I’m leaving this question on because the answer in this instance was that the security interlock light was on. The motor will not run with the security system on.
Once unlocked, it started immediately and it ran perfectly.
Thanks to everyone that answered.
I also thought it was a fuel related problem. In fact it is, the security system cuts off the fuel somehow.
