i have a 1991 gmc sonoma 2.5l I4 that i wased the engine comartment of and i let it sit for about an hour and iwhen i went to leave it cranked but would not start. i figured that maybe i got the distributer and components wet. so i took it all apart, sprayed it all down with wd40 to help dispace all the water. i let it all sit and dry out a little more and still notheing. i put in all back fogether and tried to start it with starter fluid. it tried to start so i know i have spark. but i still dont have fuel coming from my injector. i have a new fuel pump and filter and when i turn the key to the “acc” possition, you can hear the pump prime and relays click. please help
I just put 20 gallons of gas in on friday smart ass.
What is the ecu and where is it located?

Thanks to a laspe in attention I grabbed fuel injector cleaner rather than fuel stabilizer and put it in my 97 Grand AM GT, which just so happens to lack fuel injection. After driving for twenty or so miles the engine overheated, shut off and began an obnoxious grinding and knocking noise. We got it home and assessed that the water pump had died and replaced it, we would have replaced the termostat too if that didn’t require removal of the carburetor. The grinding stopped after the replacement of the water pump but know the engine is knocking. Not a subtle knock either, a BITCHING BADASS knocking. Loud enough to annoy the neighbors. We tried CD-2 oil detergent, which helped a little bit, but the knocking still gets nearly unbearable at anything past 20 MPH. The duel filter needs replacing but we haven’t been able to do that due to some kind of damage to the current one. I’ve done a little research and what I can glean is that there’s either a lifter going to hell, or there’s something wrong with the ignition timings. If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it. I need to know if I can drive it or not since I am a delivery driver and need to know if I need someone to cover me or not.

To my understanding…Gas treatment evaporates water content from gasoline making for better mileage? Fuel injector just cleans off the grease buildup of the fuel injectors as it sprays out the gasoline? So this means the you’ll have to pour in a bottle of gas treatment for every tank of gas you filled?
Am i correct?

Hi i have been on this messin with my chrysler sebring now i took it to a professional and he said its not a big problem he said he see a leak in the gas line thats y i smelled gas and he also need to change my fuel injector. Can someone please tell me why is that important ? and does it solve any gas smell problem. He also stated the water outlet housing isn’t any good. Just bought it but i guess it wasnt any good, because the sensor never worked on it by the way. does this make any sense. my car was running hot and he stated because the housing isn’t any good and maybe the person that put it in messed it up more so it was gettin air intake and leaking coolant. Please let me know if what i stated can solve my car running hot and cooling boiling and gas smell problem. Please let me know. Thanks for the help i hope. also if anyone have a link where i can get the fuel injector. Thanks alot.
thanks for the help, the water outlet housing is leaking i can see the coolant by the hose what is hooked on to it. also do you need more than one fuel injector orrrrr there is only one fuel injector for the 2001 chrysler sebring .
