I want to build a water injection system for my truck to get better gas milage, more power and cleaner combustion. I have figured out how to make it run off vacuum pressure and how to aerate the water, but I’m having trouble finding an atomizer. I think I need one of those. I have a ball valve and will get the vacuum tubingand three-way connector whan I get past this part.
Has anyone done a DIY water injection before? Can you give me a parts list and tall me where to get whatever I need and don’t have?
what will happen if you run a line feeding the engine with pure hydrogen gas (not HHO) from the intake?
will it reduce gas consumption and get better mileage?
forgot to mention the source of this hydrogen. lets say if you have an inboard hydrogen gas tank (pressurized hydrogen).
I have Toyota corolla 1993 with 4AFE engine. Apparently there is no problem with the engine, but I see that color of the engine oil is turning dark very soon. I can also see black powder in the engine exhaust. I don’t feel any oilishness in this powder. The engine oil level however slightly reduces in a month time. My engine looks good as it is still throwing water from the exhaust however I feel that compare to before engine sound and idle speed is increased a little bit. What could be reason for change in oil color? Can worn-out engine valve seals cause change in oil color? Any ideas?
I own an 87′ Accord. It has a 2.0L SFI SOHC water-cooled engine in it. At first glace, I thought this car was carbuerated. But upon looking at my vin#, records show that this call is fuel injected.
My question is this -
Is it normal for these types of engines to idle high (2,000 RPM) in the cold, and then kick back to normal idle speed when the engine warms up?
I was wondering how long does it take for the Fuel Injection Fluid and Dry Gas to start working? My car was sputtering and choking when I tried to accelarate, and sometimes when it was idle. I was told I might have water or moisture in my gas tank. *shrugs*
Well, I added both to my tank…I’m just wondering if I have to drive the car for a while before I notice a change? It’s been about 2 days now, but I haven’t noticed anything different. Still sputters here and there.
I read an article in a magazine (moddified, about modding imports) and this guy got a water/meth injection kit for his cobalt SS and added a bunch of power.
I have heard about people who are building hydrogen injection kits for cars that inject hydrogen into your intake manifold. They are all promising a 25% to 50% increase in gas mileage with these systems. Has anybody here tried this? What kind of long term affects can I expect one of these kits to have on my engine?
I’ve seen these electrolysis devices for sale and I really don’t think they would work. Is anyone using one of these devices and how is it working?? I’ve got a friend who purchased one and is putting it on his truck…
FYI: I’m not thinking about running off 100% hydrogen, but the Brown’s Gas that is produced when water is electrolyzed
such as the system here at www.savefuel.ca
We’ll see what happens…My bet is that it isn’t gonna work though…
