Tired of taking that trip outside to light the water heater? Here’s your solution. A simple flip of the switch from inside the coach turns your water heater on or off. And these Water Heaters are just as efficient as they are convenient. The patented through-tube combustion chamber uses the heat from the pilot flame to help maintain water temperature rather than loosing that heat energy to the outside. 95% of all serviceable components are accessible through the exterior door… reduces service time and virtually eliminates the need for service personnel to enter your coach; High temperature limit switch, thermostat, and pressure and temperature relief valve help prevent heater problems; Externally sealed combu… More >>

Atwood RV gas water heater w/ electronic ignition…?

I have an Atwood RV gas water heater w/ electronic ignition in a 94 model camper trailer, and it suddenly stopped working. It would light up when i turned it on for 2 seconds or so with a weak flame, and then go out, the red backlight on the ignition switch would start glowing again and then the flame would go out completely. i would constantly smell gas at the outside access door, albeit faintly, so i thought it would be a good a time as any to try to figure that one out too. so i took the solenoid off and cleaned the brass tip thing off (the one with the tiny hole that shoots the gas out when it works), then opened the solenoid up. i couldnt see anything obviously wrong with it, so i closed it back up and tightened it up good to make sure no leaks would happen. then wrapped gas grade teflon tape around the threaded brass fittings and tightened them back up too.
when i put it back on and decided to give it a try, (i had a fire extinguisher handy of course) it lit up like a charm. unfortunately the flame started burning the sparker thingy, and it was glowing red hot!

Here’s a value-priced Water Heater that won’t leave you out in the cold during your shower. And not only is it reliable, it’s efficient. The patented through-tube combustion chamber actually uses heat from the pilot flame to help maintain water temperature rather than losing that heat energy to the outside. And the pilot ignition system offers economical time-tested performance. The pilot is manually lit when the destination is reached and hot water is available in less than 30 minutes. 95% of all serviceable components are accessible through the exterior door… reduces service time and virtually eliminates the need for service personnel to enter your coach; High temperature limit switch, thermostat, and press… More >>

What would cause a 1987 Volvo 244 keep running with the key out of the ignition?

This car was subjected to a flash flood in which the water rose to about the level of the glove box. The car seemed ok except for the fuel pump would not run. I got a new ECU and now the pump works wonderful but when I went to shut the car off and take the key out, everything was still running! I had to pull the battery cable off of the car to shut it off.
IDEAS??
so what do i do to fix that? anyone know?

i have a 99 bayliner capri with a 5.7 280hp with thunderbolt 5 ignition. after 40 min of running fine it stops?

but the engine is still running. I cannot go over wake speed for 5 to 10 minutes. If you throttle up the engine dies and you have to wait a few minutes to get it started again. We replaced the distributor cap, rotor, fuel/water separater and fuel filter as well as rebuilt the carb and changed the oil. today, two days later, it is happening again. what else could cause this?

What Can Be Added To Hydrogen Gas To Increase The Minimum Required Ignition Energy To Ignite It?

Here’s an interesting chemistry question…
When using hydrogen in an internal combustion engine, it has a tendency to pre-ignite due to a hot intake valve, and although there are things that can be done to the engine itself to fix that, such as ceramic coating the valves or adding sodium filled valves, I was wondering what could be added to the hydrogen gas itself to counteract the pre-ignition tendency? Possibly another gas mixed in? Would an alcohol spray have any effect if mixed in with it like it does with gasoline?

Water arc acceleration plasma ignition – hho hydrogen cell

Plans: img411.imageshack.us Water Arc Ignition, High Voltage Plasma Lightning Ball. It is a very simple circuit devised of a 5kV coil, and a 0.5mF capacitor. These are some of the concepts I wanted to discuss with people who are interested in the subject. Currently I came across some designs for making water explode but without a hydrogen electrolysis process. By generating a plasma electrical wav…
