Check engine lights up when I put the machine to get the error code :nothing came out. This problem started three years ago and very seldom and now it’s getting worst. Seem not enough gas coming to the motor. Gas filter was changed many time and I put some product to eliminate the water in gas tank. The problem still occurs. The motor never stops but if I climb a big hill, no more power. I have to stop and the motor is still idling. And I wait few minutes, and I can start again for many many miles.
Could somebody help me please.

Got it recently off the list, and it is believed to have fuel delivery problems via the fuel pump. It’s an air cooled outboard with a water pickup to keep exhaust cold i suppose. The needle and seat in the carb function properly and when fuel is gravity fed, the engine runs. Before i even get to cracking anything else open, is there some place that still carries parts to this nature, or am i going to have to carry a battery and electric fuel pump around?

this is the answer i got to a previous question about speed dropping and that the car would die even after being jumped though it has a new-ish battery:
“[After a] long period of not using the vehicle, cause some problem to the moving parts that became rusty.Feel the wheel hub after a long drive. If its too hot,you got a stock-up wheel brake caliper,on that hot hub. This causes your car to drop the speed. Check also your fuel filter, for any sign of water or dirt. Replace if faulty and don’t forget to replace the air filter as well.”

I am 30 years old and Don’t quite get it. Not ignorant, went to school for law,not science. So people of yahoo, Why does a car need Gas to run, why not water and why can’t they use something else to make a car go so that we are not so reliant on one particular natural resource? Thanks in advance.
Wow, appleJuice, your one smart guy, I like the sound of all that knowledge.
Great answer, I just wish they would look at the long one picture and not just the here and now.

I have been searching ruthlessly for weeks to find a list of parts for a hydrogen generator. people who compile them, want to make us pay for their information. i cannot afford to be taken advantage of, i need to save money and save gas. thanks for your help!!

I’ve seen the videos of car modifications that use an electrolysis – like conversion self made unit. It essentially from my understanding, puts out a gas ( hydrogen), and pumping it directly into your engine at the fuel intake manifold, it can, or does increase your gas mileage by double or triple, depending on how the unit is put together. I drive a 1997 Suburban and want to put together this engine modification, where can i find directions and a list of supplies that I need, to add this MOD to my own vehicle. I have heard you can get the supplies from ACE Hardware.

When i stop at a stop sign and then take off the car misses real bad like there is water in the gas so i treated the gas and it is still happening but only when you start to move for about 50 feet or so then it runs fine.So now i’m thinking it’s the fuel filter.

This truck will start but acts like there is water in the fuel. I have changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, and air filter. I cleaned the water and fuel separator. Since the changes the truck will start but when you push in on the accelorator it will choke out and die. It was driven around a parking lot and when trying to pick up speed it won’t go. I’m wanting to know if it is the fuel pressure regulator (the one on the side of the water separator). what other thing can i check before buying this $560.00 part. is there a sensor that i need to check? Is it inside the fuel tank? At idle speed the truck sounds fine, only when u want to accelarate is there a problem.
I have checked the oil pressure and it is fine. when I first started looking for the problem i checked the fuel filter. It was excessively dirty. it has been less that 3000 miles since the fuel filter has been changed.this truck has 225,000 miles on it. The oil and air filter has been changed at the same time. Since the fuel filter was so dirty that is why i feel it might be the fuel regulator since you have your amplifier, piston, plunger, nozzle check valve, fuel inlet check ball, and the fuel inlet port. could any of these be plugged up with the debree that i found in the fuel filter? is there any way to maybe take this off and flush it out?

i have a 2001 honda civic, standard. it keeps stalling on me, and requires popping clutch to start up. there was a recall, and i might just be asking a stupid question because this recall was back in 2001. the following was what i found
2001 HONDA CIVIC FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP
Recall Date: 06/06/2001
Summary:
ON CERTAIN SEDANS, A SMALL AMOUNT OF WATER MAY HAVE BEEN LEFT IN THE FUEL PUMP ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AFTER TESTING. THIS RESIDUAL WATER COULD CAUSE THE FUEL PUMP TO FAIL DUE TO CORROSION.
