The truck just broke down in the middle of the street so am racing around the clock to fix it. It does have 2 tanks on it. The rear fuel pump just went out and the front tank is full of old gas. Last time I tried to run the front tank it sucked alot of water and took forever to flush the line out so I know for a fact its full of crud, hasn’t been used in over 10 years! I am for sure the pump up front works so have decided to drain this out and see if I can get it to run on the front tank, what is the easiest way to drain the tank on these trucks? siphon gas out? drop the tank? is there a drain plug? any help would be appreciated.
hi guys. my new to me truck is not reading the temperature the fuel level and a few others. what it is reading is the speedo and oil pressure. there is a aftermarket temperature gauge that is wired in it says water temp but i think it is engine temp in general.
i dont care that the others do not work just the fuel. i checked fuses and they are all fine. what could be wrong that the fuel is not reading.
I have a 1997 Ford f-250 with a 7.3 non california 7.3 powerstroke with a 5 speed.
It has a K&N intake, DP5 Tuner with 1200 RPM high idle, 20hp tow tune, 65 economy, 100 and 120 Race, 140 Extreme, and a smoke tune. 4 inch down pipe, 5inch straight pipe, to duel 6 inch mitre cut stacks, i have a double southbend clutch. Billet input and output shafts. To 3.73 gears with a dana 60 front axle, i have a water injection to keep my EGTs in check.. Anyway I need to improve fuel delivery. I was going to do a better lift pump for Air dog and stage 1 injectors with an upgraded HPOP. Anything else i should do to improve delivery?
my f-250 engine has started to run a bit rough in the higher gears especially under load and uphill. It seems to go through 1/2/3 fine but when i get to a speed and coast and then re-accellerate it misses a bit. I had autozone scan and they had a pending code for cylinder #2 misfire. my check engine light is NOT on. I just bought the truck from a used care dealer with 175,000. It drove home fine and on my second tank of gas this started. I thought it may be water in the fuel system as it was beyond below E when i got it so i am running a fresh tank with some STP cleaner through it. Do you think I may have simply a bad plug or wire? Any ideas as for what I can check. I am pretty handy although no mechanic and I am just starting a business so I have no $$$. Thanks!
how do i go about checking the plug/coil?
runcaronwater.tk Water Fuel Cars use a little electricity out of your car’s battery, to separate water into a gas called HHO (2 Hydrogen + 1 Oxygen). HHO, also called Hydroxy or Hydrogen*Oxygen™, burns beautifully and provides TONS of energy – while the end product is just WATER! Mobile Magazine says water fuel cars with HHO provides the atomic power of Hydrogen, while maintaining the chemical s…
All of a sudden, am having trouble starting my ’94 F-250 Diesel. Engine cranks, but it won’t fire. I’ve verified that fuel is getting pumped to the fuel filter/water separator, which I’ve drained (it’s new, so I don’t see how it can otherwise be clogged.) How/where else can I check for a problem beyond the fuel/water separator?
