Ok, friends… I could use some help. Heres the deal. I have a 1994 Ford Explorer. Somehow, it got about a gallon (maybe less) of water dumped into the gas tank. I have no idea what to do about it. I have gotten advice on this issue, and I an getting a million different answers. I have heard ” Drain the gas tank”, “get anti freeze for your gas tank, and then fill it up with premium, and POOF problem fixed” I have heard “guess what, buddy…you are screwed” LOL
I am really at a loss on this issue. I have NO CLUE what I am supposed to do. If anyone could give me advice on this issue, or just tell me how to fix this damn problem… I would appreciate it SO MUCH!!! Thanks for reading, and thanks a million for all of your help!
((Please help me, I’m a tiny little woman! hehe))
How did the gas get in there… Well, it goes a little something like this… 5 years ago, I married a man. There it is. LOL
He thought it was gas. It…wasnt. The gas can had been sitting out in the rain… and it didnt have a cap on it.
Also, I live in Indiana, and it is very cold at this time.
we recently got a 1993 ford explorer automatic 4 door for our daughter.
well after she had i 2 days she noticed that when excelerated giving the car gas when driving …that it shakes some!
also every now & then she hears a pop noise!
what on earth might it be?
we are returning the truck but the previous owner which so happens to be her grandparents…..say that the vehicle was fine and only shook a tiny bit until getting up to 45 mph !!
now i fear they will think our daughter messed the truck up!
also day #3 a waterhose busted.
she stopped the explorer, waited for it to cool, added water and took it the mile to her home.
bad luck truck!
so does anyone know what it might be?
my hubby wants to try to see if he can do something to help it before returning it on friday.
help …plezzzzz !!!!!
thanks!

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer & a 1986 Mustang. They get about the same, pitiful mileage of about 14mpg. I can’t afford a new car/hybrid. Is there anyway to get better mileage out of either other than the basics…tire inflation, oil & filter replacements, etc. And…unfortunately, a bicycle won’t take me where I need to go. Are hydrogen or water conversion kits really effective & would either work for me? Thanks for any suggestions.
This is the latest update on our HHO test vehicle. We just added a second unit which is connected to a rear vac port. The main unit is still connected to the TB vac port and air intake. Vac numbers are good. Second unit has a little less mass in the coil. Before installing the second unit we were getting 20% savings in MPG from city to highway with a max just over 24 MPG on the highway. We’ll see…
