I bought a new battery a couple of months ago and the car worked fine. Recently I had to change my distributor, and then my water pump. Now my car turns on fine and while I drive it for a while, when I release the gas pedal the gauge that shows the idle, just drops slowly and hits “0.” That is when my car just shuts off, I can turn my car on but have to keep pressing the gas to keep it on. Why would I have this problem? Thank you

In our country if we use water for all energy using machines and cars we will be deprived of the tax revenue hat we derive from the income of oil companies. My assumption is : Water fuel has already been perfected.

It’s a 78 landau, has a 351W under the hood. It only has 80k mile and RAN fine. It has a leak in the haedgasket. I could see traces of water in the oil, it had froth in the radiator, and it would be empty on coolant every 2 days. I let a friend borrow it. They drove it empty on coolant for about 8 miles where it laid down. I put a new starter on it, its getting fuel, but has a weak orange spark when I check the spark at the plugwire. And it is not even attempting to start.
What in henry fords name is the problem here?
I’ve run lesser fords w/ lesser motors red hot before. Even if the head gasked breached fully into one cylinder or more, it should still start or at least try. Could it be the coil?
It turns over at about the same rate it did before, I don’t think it’s fast enough, but it used to start without giving it any pedal on the third turn. There is no smell of burn bearings in the oil. The ignition electrical is in poor shape, the plug wires are old, there were deposits on the contacts in the distributor cap, the rotor contact was very pitted. After turning it over many times I can smell fuel and it smells odd, not like fresh gasoline. The fuel in it is only a week old.

I mean I am afraid he speaks spanish. But he has been there for a few hours, his hood was propped up, and he has the door open. Its a 2004ish Lexus Es, not sure would could be the matter. Ran out of gas, disoriented? Should I help him out? Give him water or something
I am afraid that he will not understand me, or have someone on the way
Turns out it was something with the battery, he took the water bottle. His grandson was bringing a new one.

When I start my 6.9 Ford diesel, it starts every time first time. But, with the 2nd start in the day it bogs down when pressing the accelerator. Sometimes it bogs for a good minute and then drives fine until I stop at a stoplight, does the same bogging, then accelerates fine until I have to stop again.
I’m wondering if there could be a break in the diaphragm in the CDR valve? Or another issue?
No overheat, no glow plug or water in fuel light on. Injectors were replaced not too many miles ago.
Again, it starts with ease and drives with no issues first time. When I shut the van off and re-start, that is when I have this issue.

Thinking it was just water in the gas tank I’ve been using dry-gas with every fill-up (1x/wk) but it doesnt seem to make a difference. I’ll be slowing down to turn onto the highway for example and the steering wheel and brakes go tight and the car is shut right down–I then have to turn the key off and restart it which takes alot and then the car sounds like it has a bad muffler or something. This car is in awesome mechanical shape other than this–factory items still look new at 190k!! I’ve heard it could be the fuel pump but I cant FIND the fuel pump to try. I think maybe its IN the fuel tank but then how do I get to it?? Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.

Hello all
I have a XC 600 2003 Polaris sled that is having some troubles. Sometimes it bogs down when using little throttle, then it is fine between 20%-80%, then it goes back to bogging down when I pin it. Sometimes if I keep it pinned through a field, it will pick up and fly, then bog down again.
I have new spark plugs, premium gas, I think it could be a piece of ice in the gas line, or water in the gas. But we’ve used a whole bottle of dry gas and ran the sled for 2 hours so I’ve ruled out that.
Not sure about the vacuum lines.

1990 Baja with 454ci with electric pickup distributer. After it dies a turn of the key and it starts right up again. Will run again for awhile and than dies again. I checked the coil and it reads within the specs. There is know water in the fuel. It runs great with no missing or knocking untill it just dies. I did switch coils and coil wire to the distributer, but it didn’t help. It doesn’t seem to do this when running at idle 750rpm-1000rpm. The temperature is normal and oil pressure appears to be fine. I thought at one point that it could be starving for fuel, but the bronze elements are clean and after the engine stalls out, it starts right up again with the turn of the key.

when I start the car the headlights flicker faintly and constantly but i dunno if this has anything to do with the car dieing down problem. When your going it will all of a sudden be as if you are pressing the gas and its just not going then come back. i did change a fuse for the radio when the cars accessories were on and it sparked but im in total confusion as to what this whole problem is? i was thinking maybe water or something else in gas tank? or the distributor, because i had just got it changed for a rebuilt one. and also when i start the car, but only on occasions it revs high like to 3000 then falls to like 2000 and just keeps jumping in between 1000 and 2000. i have to like shut off the car and start it like 10 times before it starts up at a normal rev.

I’ve taken it to a couple of mechanics and each one said the fluids were fine, belts were nice and tight, exhaust was fine. A mechanic last night hooked it up to a fuel pressure monitor/gauge and found the pressure to be at 48. Normal for a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo – 6 cylinders is 49 (+ or – 5) so it’s within normal ranges. He didn’t think it was the fuel pump. What else could it be? During the summer I filled up every 6 days or so, I’ve had to fill up twice this week. I’m so irritated…any ideas what the issue could be?
