I am borrowing a friend’s Bobcat and it ran out of diesel even though the gauge said 1/4 full. I refilled the tank, filled the fuel/water separator, primed with the hand pump, and after several attempts it finally started. It ran perfectly for about 5 minutes and then I sat still and it cut out and won’t restart. Thoughts?
It is a Bobcat 753 by the way.
My truck sometimes stalls when idleing when it has rained or its overcast and damp. i have heard that diesel fuel “attracts” water. How do i solve this problem or is this a normal thinkg for diesel owners?
My truck runs as if it isnt getting gas fully and bogs out when rpms go up. I noticed that when i turned the key foward i couldnt hear my electric fuel pump turn on so i put in a new one. It then ran ok for a couple minutes and got back to running like crap and white smoke blows out now. I still can’t her the buzzing when i turn the key foward tho. Tomorrow im gonna try changing the fuel filter out and also see if theres water in the gas. I dnt now if it is that or possibly the injector pump going out again. I do have an antifreeze leak and have been using water for a little while now. Also ran out of gas a few days before the problems started. Sprayed some starter fluid into air filter and got it running. Do have some transmission problems. Dnt really know if any of these things could have caused this to happen. If anyone has experienced this problem or knows anything about it please let me know something cuz i dnt know what else to do.
Drained tank found dark color fluid like used oil. Replaced with new diesel. Oil dirty but at good level. Let truck sit for less than hour. On the road it took off ok but began to refuse to accelerate and intermitently came to a near stop with engine still idling. When it reved up, very little and every few seconds even more difficult going up slight uphill. Managed to crawl about 5 miles to get closer to home.
Next day bled 4 injectors, removed.small (air hose?) near oil to alternator tube. Truck ran for about two miles then repeat same. Drained fuel filter/water separator? with primer pump. Found sludge. Did not change filter. Only cleaned and primed.Tried driving it, same. Help.
meaning using another kind of fuel clean and cheap like water, how much will you pay for it?
well the hydrogen burn and thats all that an engine need to run, fire so l know a person who converted his car to run 100 % water and it run better has more power not electrical problem and the oil take more time to change and it has not CO2 emissions and when l say more power is more power l drove it and it feels like a sport car and it is a minivan…..so l repeate my question how much will you pay for getting an equipment like that….
This monster went several rounds of design changes due to idiots that cant read a measuring tape. But finally the units was ready. It produced 27ltr/min 24v variable current. Never had a chance to road test it because partner decided to start thieving, so I left. You live you learn. But this one was definitely a monster to build out. I had to construct it on a medical lift used to get people in an…
I have just replaced the head and head gasket which was shaved due to warpage because of overheating of the engine. The engine got so hot that it melted the valve cover. I rebuilt the water pump that was leaking to fix a coolant leak there was a small amount of water in the oil when I first started it after replacing the head but it seems to of quit leaking or possibly it was sitting in the bottom of the pan when I drained it and did not drain. I put 16 psi on the radiator and it held that pressure for over an hour. When I start it, it starts right up seems to have full power revs up and down just fine. The engine has 12,000 hours on it. I have not run it more then a minute at a time. Could this possibly only be getting coolant in the oil/cylinder while running? Water in fuel? It is a whitish smoke. how can I find out what is causing this smoke?
