Im filling up with 93 instead of 87, and though i sometimes hear/feel a little bit of a “shudder,” its not full-on dieseling or “running on” lik when i had 87 in it. Now, if i drive it all day and shut it off and it does that on 93 ill know im wrong.. btu so far, it hasnt. And its a marked difference, the engine ran for 2 seconds once after i turned it off on 87.
Ive been doing a LTO of Decarboning altely, and am really wanting to Seafoam it and replace that old, brittle brake Booster hose.

Hi,
it’s a 2008 ford 450 diesel truck that has been acting weird at work…we keep it plugged in at night to keep the engine warm. The truck is in kc missouri… It fires right up in the morning and seems to drive fine for like 20 miles..then it starts to act up. We put cardboard in front of the radiator now that is is cold outside. The truck never shows signs of overheating.
So we added the anti jell like the bottle said to. The truck seems to run fine and then it’s like it wouldn’t allow me to get above 50 mph..I could floor the accelator ..tac it all the way up and it wouldn’t go above this. I must keep my foot on it to maintain this speed.

When I start my 6.9 Ford diesel, it starts every time first time. But, with the 2nd start in the day it bogs down when pressing the accelerator. Sometimes it bogs for a good minute and then drives fine until I stop at a stoplight, does the same bogging, then accelerates fine until I have to stop again.
I’m wondering if there could be a break in the diaphragm in the CDR valve? Or another issue?
No overheat, no glow plug or water in fuel light on. Injectors were replaced not too many miles ago.
Again, it starts with ease and drives with no issues first time. When I shut the van off and re-start, that is when I have this issue.

the bottle is 32oz.
The only instructors it says is:
Cetane Boost 32 oz. Treats
3 Numbers……………..100 gallons
6 Numbers……………….50 gallons
What is the difference between 3 and 6 numbers? My tank is 22 gallons. So I should bring it to almost empty, and then put how much of this stuff in before I fill the tank?
My car also had this weird problem of the engine turning off when idle (radio stayed on). A guy suggested to me could be water deposits in the fuel tank. I got this cheap stuff called “Heet, gas-line antifreeze & water remover”. The guy told me to put the bottle in the tnak before I fill it up for the next two fill-ups.

The truck is a specialty truck providing fuel and water for an asphalt crew. The truck is also a commercial vehicle. Is there a cut off, in gallons, that placarding is required and also an endorsement.

im looking for a reasonably cheap source to compress & spray water in a small/fine mist at 3600-4200psi, could a diesel fuel pump handle it or would it blow up/?
this has nothing to do with any other part of the diesel engine.
