The other day I went to the gas station and noticed I was leaking anti-freeze so I went home and add more anti-freeze. The next day I went to the station again and when I got there I checked and no leak and when I got home no leak either. I live in WI and it was below 0 for a few days, If that helps. I don’t know if it is my water pump or maybe my thermostat? Can I drive it or not? Please help me I’m a single parent with only the one car (’96 Jeep Grand Cherokee ). And is it expensive to change the water pump?
Thank you all for such a fast response you all are great!! When it leaked it was on the passanger side mainly. I hope it is a hose (loose or hole). I will see if I can find someone take a look at it. With the cold weather we had hopefully it is minor. Again Thank You All and Merry Christmas!!!

I have borrowed the handheld leak testers that beep and never had much luck, especially with very small leaks. At a Peterbilt dealership that I had worked at, I had a lot of success with their nitrogen tank/regulator setup and soapy water, listening for the hissing, etc. Now I work for myself and do occasional AC work. To save money, I wondered if I could use the MIG shielding gas tanks(I have both stainless and ferrous blend) to purge, by just buying the high pressure regulator, which does fit both tanks, MIG and N (CGA 580) outlets. I own the MIG tanks already.

I just used my toy hauler this past weekend and it worked fine then. I’ve never had any problems with it since I’ve had it (2yrs). I needed to use it this morning, because my water heater at my house for some reason does not work either. So I’m waiting for the gas company on that one! But I have no clue as to why my water heater in my trailer does not work. The light that indicates that it’s on, or is heating, did turn on. As a matter of fact, it hasn’t turned off!! It usually turns off when the water is heated (i think), but this morning, it didn’t do that. It is still cold and has been for about 3 hours now. Could anyone possibly help me out, and give me some reasons why it may not be working, or if I may be doing something wrong, or still need to dosomething to get it to turn on and start heating my water? I would appreciate it very much!

im looking for a reasonably cheap source to compress & spray water in a small/fine mist at 3600-4200psi, could a diesel fuel pump handle it or would it blow up/?
this has nothing to do with any other part of the diesel engine.

Hello, my car is a 94 camry LE 2.2L. Yesterday it was running well… but while I waited for the traffic light then the battery light on. Then we have to tow the car back, the person who helped us suggested that maybe it is too cold the water in the gas frozen and blocked the gas line… Now if I turn the key to on but not start it. The battery, engine check and oil lighs are all on… What’s the possible cause of this? Anything I could do to check it and fix it. Thank you so much!

My truck runs as if it isnt getting gas fully and bogs out when rpms go up. I noticed that when i turned the key foward i couldnt hear my electric fuel pump turn on so i put in a new one. It then ran ok for a couple minutes and got back to running like crap and white smoke blows out now. I still can’t her the buzzing when i turn the key foward tho. Tomorrow im gonna try changing the fuel filter out and also see if theres water in the gas. I dnt now if it is that or possibly the injector pump going out again. I do have an antifreeze leak and have been using water for a little while now. Also ran out of gas a few days before the problems started. Sprayed some starter fluid into air filter and got it running. Do have some transmission problems. Dnt really know if any of these things could have caused this to happen. If anyone has experienced this problem or knows anything about it please let me know something cuz i dnt know what else to do.

I haven’t had this trouble with my 2002 Honda Civic before. It has 65K+ miles on it and it’s automatic trans. The other morning I went to start it and it wouldn’t turn over. It wasn’t dead, it cranked but just wouldn’t “catch.” It made a horrible grating sound, though. My aunt came down and just kept trying it and it finally started, but there was the odor of raw gas in the garage. It’s been fine since. A new battery was installed in February. What could cause this problem? I’ve been asking around and I wanted to get a consensus of opinion. So far I’ve been told – water in the fuel line, timing belt problem, engine flooded, or starting motor problem. Would a can of dry gas help? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Its a 2003 1500HD Silverado. I havent checked in awhile but i think it has about 50,000 miles maybe 60,000. When drving at low RPM there seems to be no problem but when it hits 4500-5000+ (6000rdlne) the engine makes a popping noise and the engine warning light comes on and sometimes goes off after the rpms drop or sometimes ir wont even go off till i turn the car off and on. Asked my dad about it a long time ago and at the time since the truck had been sitting around for very long periods of time in bad rainy weather he thought there might be water in the fuel lines or something like that but he had my uncle whose a mechanic check it and he didnt think that was the problem and that we shouldnt really worry about it. (this was a few years ago.) Now that i drive the truck my dad doesnt really seem to care about the problem much at all anymore and in fact thinks its better it stay that way since the truck has to much power and the problem inhibits that so i dont drive too recklessly. But ive notced that the problem is sucking fuel big time and i really need it fixed.
its an automatic! it cant hit 6000 rpm. i was just stating that that was the redline rpm. i am a immature 17 year old with a 6 liter truck of course im going to have a little fun with it on occasion.

My car has been overheating for months. I have used the proper mixture of antifreeze and water. I have had to tighten the clamps on the upper hose because it swells so big some times, one time it completely came off. The other day the car wouldn’t start. I took it to a mechanic and got it back yesterday. He said there was something wrong with some wiring, and the reason it had been overheating was because of a bad radiator cap, and he replaced it. I drove the car this morning and it was overheating so badly it took me two hours to get it back to the house. And it looked like smoke was coming from the engine, around the spark plugs. But I don’t know if the smoke was from water being sprayed on the engine or if it was actual smoke coming from inside the engine. The engine ran fine until the car started to overheat, then it sounded really rough and no matter how far I pushed down the gas, it wouldn’t hardly move. Also, the front window got foggy, and I tried the air, it was hot. HELP!
