I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 truck which eats gas like I drink water. What can I do to increase gas mileage and make my money last longer? I mean, I have heard a little bit about catalytic converters can decrease your gas mileage if you take them off. Is this true? If it even is, how much money and gas can you actually save? I mean, I know gas has gone way up, but I would like to know all I can do to decrease the amount of gas used up in my truck so fast. Suggestions and help?

I want to purchase a new car after, my insurance stated that my car is a total lost due to my old car being in flood water. I wanted something within my budget so I was thinking of a Mazda 3 (4 door), Toyota Corolla, and the Ford Focus. I want to keep my car for a very long time even after my college years are over, so I was wondering which car should I consider when it comes to reliability, fuel efficiency, and I do not pay a lot for the parts even if something did happen to the vehicle.

Batteries would be effective, but weight outlaws the idea, at least until technology has developed this concept of lowering mass..
But what about Liquid Hydrogen. Fuel is already a liquid, just like Liquid Hydrogen.. So, is it possible, as good as batteries, maybe even better? And would this be wasting Water, or would the ejected fumes be steam?
Thank you

Im looking to get a cruiser. I havent owned a bike before. But i was looking at the Yamaha Vstar, Honda, but i was told to check out the Kawasaki Vulcan 903.
I was told the Kawasaki was fuel injected and water cooled. What are your impressions of these bikes and what is the best purchase? I was also looking into the Harley Sportster 883 but was informed by Harley guys where i live its going to be a pain to take care of and really isnt the best bike for a first bike.

How can I get my 1966 Lincoln Continental to run smoother?
It has 68k original miles. Bought the car for $1900 and it runs but nothing else work (windows, clock, lights, etc). Just some surface rust. I changed, plugs, wires, rotors. Just bought a fuel pump, high volume oil pump and water pump. Every mechanic says it runs strong but I would like for it to run smoother!
Other than rebuilding the engine (Because the engine runs strong and its Mileage) what other things can I change out on it to have it run better before I rebuild the front end and paint it? And also where can I get the parts from?

THIS?
The Crower 6 cycle engine invented by Bruce Crower,
the same guy who owns the popular aftermarket automotive camshaft company.
Similar to a 4 cycle engine. Adds a 5th and 6th cycle where water is injected into the engine between the exhaust cycle and intake cycle. The water entering the hot combustion chamber instantly turns into steam and expands to 1600 times its volume giving an extra free steam driven power stroke.
He claims a 40% reduction in fuel consumption and less emissions.

So everyone is going crazy over cars with better MPG, but I don’t understand why. Does buying a new car with better MPG pay of in the end? It seems to me you have to pay a fortune on the car to get better gas miles. So either way. You’re going to be paying a lot on a car, or you’re going be paying a lot on gas with a car with a smaller tank. For instance, Honda just released their new zero emissions car that runs on hydrogen, but it ‘s going to costs you $600/month on a 3 year lease.

I mean come on who wants to pay more for something that’s all ready too high(fuel for your vehicle)!!! I understand that it’s good for the environment but ,lets be real most of us are living pay check to pay check as it is.Even if the price of gas goes down E-85 will still be up there.Make sense to you it sure doesn’t to me.What ever happened to methane, electric or even hydrogen. Maybe the best solution would be an electric/steam engine would be best with the electric helping to produce the steam with of course water.20 gallons at 160 lbs.(water)doesn’t weigh much and theoretically that 20 gallons could get you 500 miles. With the steam being force feed by a turbine or some other device.the steam would be made the same way your electric hot water heater makes the water hot and produces steam maybe some thought should go to this?!

I have been told that the higher the octane level, the gas mileage is worse. If you have water in your tank on regular gas, it runs rough so you add STP or some fuel additive in order for it to mix with the water and burn such as alchohol. So why couldn’t you simply add distilled water to your tank on E85 to get better gas mileage. On my company car, they charted out the expense on E85 versus regular gas and it was just under $1000.00 more expensive to run the E85. E85 I think is 105 octane. I think if they were to lower the octane somehow, the consumer could see the benefit of using it more.

Someone is telling me the is a kit for your car i dont know if he said hydrogen kit, but for some reason that comes to mind. The kit was around $150 he said and it makes it so you get a lot better gas mileage. If someone knows what he is talking about can you tell me?
