While driving the car will stop receiving fuel and not start back up for ten-fifteen minutes. I’ve replaced the ignition contol module and the 3 coil packs. The serviice engine light will only come on when its running like water is in the gas. I’ve been to autozone to diagnose the service engine light and he says its a fuel injector needing to be replaced. O.k . but aren’t there 5 more injectors? ” Y” so, why does the car continue to shut down? I dont want to waste alot of money. Anyone with suggstions please respond as definitive as u can with the information available . Battery is good, alternator is good, and if it was the fuel pump wouldnt that just go competeley out? This is been happening for close to 1 month and a half. Thank you in advance.

I don’t know if it is really the water that is the problem. On the way home from work in traffic my car started acting up.The brake became really hard to push, and the gas pedal was not doing anything.I pulled off the road, turned the engine and air off for 10-15 mins and the car started again so I drove home. All the gauges say the car is normal and there was no alert.I am due for an oil change though this month. It couldn’t hurt to put water in it, but does anyone know if that is the actual problem??Plus I think the water tank is on MY left front hand side, and it is a clear container, but when i opened it up the liquid inside had a pinkish tinge which threw me off big time.Idk if that was the coolant or not.Anyways, thanks alot for your help.I am clueless.
Oh and my steering wheel locked up too if that helps

My stepmom has a Sable that just went in for a check up at a car shop where my stepmom knows the owner. They didnt mess with the engine or anything, all they did was change the oil and check some other stuff. She picked it up from there and drove it home which is about a 45 minute drive. The car was perfectly fine all the way home. When she got home she decided to fill her tank up because the gas light was on. *She went to BP to get gas. But yea, according to her, the next morning she said it started to shake during idle and when she accelerated. Later that night which was last night…i took it around the block to see what she was talking about. From me driving it, i realized that while you’re are stop and at idle it shakes a little every once in a while. 800rpm-1800 rpm it shakes and then it stops. We think its water in the fuel line. We dont think its any transmission or engine problems. All spark plugs are firing. I checked them all.

My chrysler is new to me. I bought it about 4 months ago and it has 70k miles but engine was replaced and the new ones only have 12k.I was driving it today and on the high way it felt as if it dies out on me for a split second then it was fine for about another hour or so. I was driving around town and it was in between idling between gears, and there it went again. It was if it was running out of gas or water in the tank.It would only happen for a second then go back to running fine. It is consistent though, meaning it does it around 30mph every time. We brought it to advanced auto, they said it was the CAM SENSOR,I don’t know though. Does anyone have any feedback or info pertaining to this?Thank you so much for your help in advance

My 2002 pontiac sunfire has a knocking rod. This has not yet went through the oil pan or whatever it does. I need to know what is the best thing to do? Is it worth putting the money into it to fix it? Do I need a new engine or is it possible to fix it an easier way? I just replaced the water pump, fuel pump and head. Costing me a fortune, also the radiator is brand new. What happenenend was I ran into a culvert and the insurance agency got it “fixed”. After that it over heated again ans cracked the head. I replaced that and the water pump and eighthundred dollars later, the rod starts knocking. What do I do? Should I sell it for parts and get something different? HELP!

I have a 2002 subaru outback 4 Cly. When I am accelerating sometimes the car surges hard and sounds like it is back firing. It doesn’t do it all the time, but when it does it sucks. Do I need a new fuel filter, because i got water in the fuel, or is it something worse. Oh and when it does it can smell like hot wires or something. What will fix the problem. any other questions for I will answer you back to figure it out.

Okay so I did change my oil regularly and I have records of that..When I drove to pick up my sister from school, everything was fine. I got home and stayed there for a couple of hours, when I decided to go run another errand. And what do you know, my car starts but hardly, literally, moves. it wont go anywhere. So i filed a no fault claim on the insurance, My insurance is AAA (Triple-A). *I HAVE FULL COVERAGE! Anyway, they investigated and said the Mechanic found out somebody put something inside the gas tank, and they also found a lot of water. He, however, stated that he did not know if this was the cause of the Engine failure.

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer & a 1986 Mustang. They get about the same, pitiful mileage of about 14mpg. I can’t afford a new car/hybrid. Is there anyway to get better mileage out of either other than the basics…tire inflation, oil & filter replacements, etc. And…unfortunately, a bicycle won’t take me where I need to go. Are hydrogen or water conversion kits really effective & would either work for me? Thanks for any suggestions.
