Many things could cause this, but, here a few that come to mind. Egr valves are very common failure item on this vehicle. Lots of carbon in engine can cause a stall. Wires (primary)at the coil can break with time. You may not notice the break. Also see many secondary coil wires routed too close to transmission dipstic tube causing stall or no start. (probably not that since you replaced wires), fuel pressure must be within specification (this is critical).

Autozone in our area will scan most OBDll vehicle for free. If the failure has set a code, this may get you one step closer to the cause.

Good Luck!

Test the coil. When they start to go bad after vehicle has run for a while the coil will break down and you will lose spark. Fuel pump can some times do the same thing. Had 96 Jimmy that done that twice. One time was coil and the other was fuel pump.
