1995 geo tracker problems?

1995 geo tracker the clutch cable has broke twice, and ihave a new clutch put in it…. the egr valve is bad, is there anyway of fixing without replacing, it gets water in the gas every so often, can water in the distrubuter cap cause it to run crappy? ( from washing it at carwash?) also, i have to bang on the starter/solenoid to get it to start? and need a new battery since its been sitting so long? does anyone know how long a geo can run if maintained well? thanks for all help
