00′ chevy 2500 farm/cdl truck losing power question?

hey question for you all..
the boss has an 00′ chevy truck at work..previously I was driving it when all of a sudden it lost “power”..the speedometer showed the truck slowing down..like what happens when one runs out of gas or the fuel pump goes bad..
I shut the truck down..restarted it..and barely drove it away..
the boss found he had some bad gas/water in the gas..he put alot of heet into it.
I drove the truck about 40 miles the next week without any problems..we even put a more expensive grade of fuel in the tank this time. and changed the fuel filter
then today after driving the truck it lost power again.
this time the bosses’ son reached over and shifted the truck into neutral..turned over the key/started it and put it back into drive ( all while I held the wheel).
the truck regained it’s power/speed and we were okay.

any idea what the heck is going on with this truck..what would cause it to lose temporary power like that??

fuel filter,, clean the tank out dry it and if thats not it check your fuel pump relay switch it should be under the hood then if thats not it it could be your fuel pump going out

If it is a diesel, that is the tell-tale sign of dirty fuel…Most diesel treatments you pour into diesel tanks will clog up the filter. You can either drain the fuel tank, clean it, and pu a new filter in, or change filters until everything is fine again!

Get a product called Seafoam and put it in the gas tank. It will settle any fuel problems including water in the gas. It is sold at all auto parts stores.
